It’s a Wrap! Thoughts on the First Gaming Event Sponsored by Unleash the Gamer
February 22, 2019

As we mentioned in a previous post, Unleash The Gamer sponsored its first gaming tournament and LAN event this month.  We are very happy we could be part of the Magnumutz Cup, as organizers and sponsors.

We also hope to support other events like this one in the future, so if you have an event planned and need some extra help, don’t hesitate to contact our staff!

My thoughts on the tournament:

As an organizer and representative for Unleash the Gamer, I felt a huge responsibility for the tournament. I wanted everything to be PERFECT!! Despite the minor hiccups along the way, I think the event was a success. Tournament participants were super happy with the way the stages were organized. They also loved the prizes.

This is me by the way, the photo was taken half-way through the tournament! 🙂

The night following the event I went to bed tired, but it was a good kind of tired! 🙂

Next year we hope to organize a bigger tournament and also have casual console events for viewers (maybe some Tekken/MK or Fifa competition).

I also hope our efforts will encourage other organizers to take the leap and host tournaments for amateurs.

Here are some of our favorite images from the LAN:

The winners of the Dota 2 tournament, with their prizes.

Some of the Hearthstone tournament participants. They were super cool!

I swear to God we didn't make her take this pic!

You can check out more photos from the event in our Facebook album.

See you next year!

In 2016 I relinquished my casual ways and started playing a game that would define me forever: Dark Souls 1. My Twitch channel was born out of the simple desire to show one of my friends (a Soulsboune lover) how miserably I could fail at it.
