The BraZen Phantom Elite PC Racing Gaming Chair is one of the better budget options that you can choose if you don’t want to empty your wallet on a gaming chair. Although the design could be better – those kitschy logos, ugh -, the BraZen Phantom Elite offers enough features to compensate for its design mishaps.

The main thing that makes this chair worth buying is its high adjustability. You can adjust anything from the tilt, height, resistance, and pillow height on a second’s notice. Speaking of which, the Brazen Phantom Elite boasts a back with two pillows that can be easily adjusted or removed, if you so wish. This is a neat feature, especially for people who experience the occasional sore back after hours of sitting at the desk.

Also worth mentioning are the adjustable armrests, which can be configured according to your preferences. You can tilt them up, down and rotate them at different angles. It looks like BraZen is fully aware of the importance of having adjustable armrests, and I wish more manufacturers would include this. All in all, BraZen’s proposition here is reasonable, and if you can get over the uninspired design, you’ll not be disappointed by the Phantom Elite.

If racing chairs are not your thing because they’re made out of leather, the Respawn 200 will make you think twice before closing the tab. It is one of the few racing chairs to integrate mesh instead of leather, and it works brilliantly. The mesh will not only keep your back cool during hot gaming sessions, but it will also provide it with adequate support and comfort.

In fact, comfort is the keyword here, as it includes adjustable lumbar support that can be moved up and down, a comfy seat that is neither too flat nor too firm, and soft, cushioned and adjustable armrests. It looks good, feels good, and costs as much as three AAA games.

The Vertagear Racing Series S-Line SL4000 is a sturdy, reliable and, not to mention, affordable gaming chair that offers exactly what you would expect from such a product. Nothing more, nothing less.

This is not to say this is a mediocre gaming chair. In fact, it even surpasses some of its more expensive competitors in certain respects, such as the weight limit – around 150 kg – and the fully articulating armrests. Also worth mentioning are the neck and lumbar cushions, which feature horizontally and vertically adjustable straps, and the shiftable seat angle, which can be either reclined to 140°, or locked into one of the five preset positions.

Overall, this is a comfortable, reliable and affordable gaming chair that will serve you through many hours of gaming. You get exactly what you pay for, a little more.

Finding a chair that can accomodate a high range of build can be a task in and of itself, and not to mention frustrating. This is where the DXRacer Classic Series comes in. This chair is custom-built to support people with larger frames. Weighing roughly 30 kg, the DxRacer features a sturdy body built out of industrial materials. This essentially means that the chair is capable of withstanding a lot of stress and abuse without folding.

The backrest, especially, deserves praise here, as it graciously molds according to the shape of your lower and middle back. Furthermore, the seat is firm, but it has enough contour to provide the maximum amount of comfort regardless of frame – the maximum weight endorsed by the manufacturer is around 136 kg. The design is nothing to write home about, but it’s ‘’gamey’’ without being too over-the-top, which is certainly laudable. All in all, a great multi-purpose gaming chair for people of all shapes and sizes.

The office Master OM5 is an intriguing gaming chair for several reasons. The manufacturer describes the chair as ‘’a self weighing chair that intuitively responds to a wide range of body weights and sizes without the need for manual tension.’’ Now, that description would make any responsible and well-informed consumer raise an eyebrow.

To be fair, the chair isn’t entirely automatically adjustable, as there are a few things you can fiddle with to obtain the maximum amount of comfort. However, when the automatic adjustments kick-in, you’re in for a treat.

The chair reacts and adjusts to your every moment as to offer the best possible posture. For example, if you lean back and apply pressure, the seat shifts forwards and the backrest reclines. The office Master OM5 is the best possible seat if you can’t be bothered with knobs and levers, and if you don’t like th

The SecretLab Titan looks, sounds and feels like the Rolls Royce of gaming chairs. And rightfully so – just look at this thing! If this doesn’t scream top-quality, I don’t know what will. Whereas many gaming chairs use mostly the same materials, the Secretlab Titan 2020 earned extra points in our book for going the extra mile in terms of sturdiness and overall build quality.

The Secretlab Titan is a reasonably large gaming chair, sporting synthetic leather with faux carbon fiber texturing on the sides. The tight design is further complemented by red stitching on the seams and a big, gold T logo embroidered on the back rest.

This is a sturdy chair with a reasonably large weight limit – 130 kg (290 pounds, for our American readers). This model uses SecretLab’s custom-built polyurethane leather, which is supple and sturdy. Furthermore, the padding also deserves praise here, as its firm cold-cure which molds to the contours of the chair, which makes the chair more sturdy on the long run and very comfortable.

All in all, the SecretLab Titan is a sturdy, comfortable and reliable chair that is truly deserving of a spot in our list of the best gaming chairs. If that didn’t convince you, maybe the intuitive and firm lumbar support system, as well as the tight quality-of-life features – the armrests and the height adjustment system, among others – will.

Even though we’ve already given a spot to another Secretlab product, we had to give a shout out to the Omega model as well. Similar to Titan, the Omega model is the epitome of comfort and efficiency. Boasting a velour head pillow and a memory foam lumbar support cushion, this chair is custom-built to mold itself around you. On top of that, you can easily recline the chair and take a nap if you feel like taking a break from playing or working.

Judging this chair based on the materials would be unfair, as the Titan 2020 is essentially an upgrade over the Omega model. Suffice to say, the chair is sturdy and the materials are top-quality. If you’re looking for a comfortable chair but you’re not willing to break the bank, this model is a sound choice.

Have you ever wondered how it would be like to sit on a throne? How about playing video games on a throne? For the hefty price of around $1300, you can do just that with the Herman Miller Embody.

The Herman Miller Embody looks as good as it feels. Viewed from the front, it’s one of the most high-end looking chairs that you can buy. Viewing it from behind, you’ll be struck by the vaguely Sci-Fi, biomechanical design that will make you swear this is some kind of weird extension of Isaac Clarke’s suit, and not a piece of expensive furniture. It looks very weird, is what we’re trying to say.

At such a price, you can bet this chair offers a massive degree of comfort. One of the advantages of Embody’s flexible matrix design is that it offers tight support for the lower back area. According to them, this matrix technology is so sophisticated that it ‘’actually lowers your heart rate and reduces stress by stimulating blood and oxygen flow while you sit.’’. Add in the numerous customization options – you can adjust the seat, armrests, the amount of curvature of the lumbar support – and you have one of the best gaming chairs that money can buy.

When it comes to Steelcase Gesture in particular, and Steelcase in general, we can’t beat around the bush – this is one of the best gaming chairs you can buy at the moment. The brand’s reputation is enough to make this chair a must-buy, but for the sake of objectivity, let’s go briefly over its features.

When it comes to design, this chair looks like it was ripped out of Captain Shepard’s ship. On the one hand, its vaguely retro-futuristic design technically qualifies it as a gaming chair. On the other hand, it has that understated look that makes it suitable to an office setting as well. Props to SteelCase for avoiding that over the top gaming aesthetic.

As for its features, since it retails for around $1400, you can be sure that this chair offers some of the best technologies currently available. To go briefly over them, the chair sports an ‘’adaptive bolstering’’ technology, which is mainly responsible by the level of comfort offered by the chair. This technology consists of a series of strategically placed air pockets underneath the foam, which can accommodate a wide variety of postures and movements.

Another big thing that needs to be mentioned is the seat cushion. Essentially, the seat cushion adapts to the person’s weight, and encourages good posture and decreases the chances of experiencing lower back pain. The result? You can use this chair for over eight hours a day with no issues whatsoever.

Furthermore, you can adjust the seat height – which may not seem like a big deal until you find out that you can adjust it to 21 inches, the seat being 16 inches from the floor. And the weight limit? 400 pounds, or 181 kg. Yeah, you read that right. All in all, the SteelCase gesture is a pricey, yet sturdy and reliable option that all gamers who have the means should consider buying.

So, this is a weird one. Before writing this article, I wasn’t even aware that Corsair made gaming chairs. But judging by the high quality of their keyboards, mice and other gaming peripherals, they might as well tap into this market.

Anyway, the Corsair T2 Road Warrior is exactly what you would expect from a Corsair product. It boasts a solid steel frame surrounded by a firm leather cushion, which is extremely durable, a microfiber-coated lumbar cushion, a neck pillow that you can strap onto the seat using a series of neat buckles, and rollerblade casters that roll as smooth as butter.

Another thing that we liked about this chair is its high adjustability, which is undoubtedly the most important quality that a gaming chair must have. Adjusting it is as easy as a walk in the park, and it’s comfortable for more than one body type. Wrapping up, from the looks of it, Corsair seems to be on point with chairs as much as they are with other gaming products, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

The weirdly-named Noblechairs Icon is possibly the most non-gaming sounding and looking gaming chair ever created. If that sounds like an exaggeration, well… you would be absolutely right. But I think that we can all agree that many gaming chairs sport an excessively over the top ‘’gamey’’ design that can be really off-putting.

From a design standpoint, the Noblechairs ICON stands somewhere between shouty Fornite streamer and your uncle’s accountant. It’s completely devoid of any flashy colours or contours, boasting a more traditional approach with some gaming elements sprinkled on top.

This chair was built with comfort and efficiency in mind. It’s designed to support the person’s back and neck for long periods of time. This level of comfort is possible thanks to the high-density foam filling, which maintains its shape even after years of use.

The frame is also sturdy because it’s built out of solid still. Furthermore, the base is made out of aluminum, which greatly increases its longevity. Also worth mentioning are the textured backing, as well as the neck and lumbar cushions which, as I’ve mentioned above, provide great comfort. All in all, this chair is a solid choice, both for gamers and office workers.

The best way to describe the Nitro Concepts S300 is ‘’good bang for your buck’’. Right from the get-go, the chair sports a design reminiscent of a racing car seat, so if you’re into a more classic, standard kind of look, you may want to seek other options.

With that out of the way, the Nitro Concepts S300 is an interesting proposition, both for the features on offer and the relatively low price. While many gaming chairs are made from leather, this one features fabric upholstery. It gets some getting used to, for sure, but on the long run, you will find that the fabric feels much softer and, dare I say, cozier than your standard leather-clad chairs.

As for the chair itself, it comes with moulded cold foam, which is not only softer but also more durable than the foam scraps you would usually find in cheap office chair. The chair reclines to up to 135 degrees, and sports two ergonomic support cushions for the lumbar and neck regions, which provide an extra level of comfort, especially for the back area.

Other features worth mentioning are the 3D armrests which, quite fittingly, move in three directions, 14 degrees rocking and 13cm of seat and height adjustment. All in all, a decently-priced chair that you’ll have a hard time getting disappointed by.

Secretlab is renowned for offering top-tier chairs, both for gamers and office workers. The NeueChair, the first product released by their subsidiary Neue, only confirms the company’s willingness to improve and iterate. Although pretty pricey, retailing at around $500 – $600, SecretLab seems to be going after people who want to buy a Herman Miller, but aren’t necessarily willing to drop $1000 on a chair.

Nevertheless, the NeueChair is a strong option regardless if you play video games or not. Built out of premium materials, this model offers a lot of customization options and flexibility. The build quality is incredible, sporting aluminum alloy framework and leather-like material on the armrests. The backrest and the chair are made out of ‘’NeueMesh’’ nylon, an airy and breathable material that will keep you cool when gaming or working in warm environments.

In the comfort department, the chair supports a high degree of recline, and you can adjust the lumbar protuberance according to your needs. If you have back problems, or you simply want something comfortable and durable that will serve you through many a gaming and work sessions, this is one of the best options out there.

CONCLUSION

This wraps up our list of the best gaming chairs on the market. Although gamers have no issues dropping thousands of dollars on a graphics card, many of them tend to forget the importance of having a sturdy and reliable gaming chair that encourages good posture. Whether you have some disposable income to spend or you’re looking for a budget option, you’ll surely find something suitable in our list.
